Barbara, this is an impressive work. You've captured the essence of your title. I lived in Manhattan back in the 60's and this painting actually reminds me of my impression of the city back then. (I like the style you bring to all your works. This one just stood out in the context of our recent exchanges elsewhere regarding abstract expressionism.) /F

Be it bold or sophisticated I love color! I work in multiple mediums and my palette reflects my mood and thoughts at the time. The pure pigments of pastel, the textures of acrylic and oil, the subtlety of graphite and ink, the exactness of color pencil may excite me to exuberant work or soothe me to quiet and thoughtful results. It all displays pieces of me and tell my story. I am a California Artist who grew up in New York's City Island. From there I moved to Arizona and attended Arizona State University. In Arizona I was mentored by locally known artist Joseph Gatti of Scottsdale. After marriage we moved to the Los Angeles area and I worked in corporate America until 2007.
