Artist's Description
Black Bird Forest is an inner vision scene not a real place, however it could be your favorite spot any dense forests in this world. The sun shines through the trees and brush, creating deep shadows and bright sparks of light. This is a diptych each painting is 36" x 24" and can be hung together as shown for a 48" wide painting or slightly separated for a different look. Sides of the canvases are painted black so they are not intended to be framed.
About Barbara O'Toole

Be it bold or sophisticated I love color! I work in multiple mediums and my palette reflects my mood and thoughts at the time. The pure pigments of pastel, the textures of acrylic and oil, the subtlety of graphite and ink, the exactness of color pencil may excite me to exuberant work or soothe me to quiet and thoughtful results. It all displays pieces of me and tell my story. I am a California Artist who grew up in New York's City Island. From there I moved to Arizona and attended Arizona State University. In Arizona I was mentored by locally known artist Joseph Gatti of Scottsdale. After marriage we moved to the Los Angeles area and I worked in corporate America until 2007.
